An empty house gets noticed. A cared-for one doesn't.

Homes that look abandoned are the most exposed to squatting, break-ins and vandalism. Regular visits keep yours from looking like one.

    Empty mailbox, an aired house and regular visits: the home looks looked-after, not unoccupied.

    Doors, windows and locks at every visit, with a photo of how we found them.

  • Same-day alert

    If we see anything odd, we tell you with photos so you can decide and alert the right people.

We don't replace an alarm or insurance: we complement them. No service can guarantee that nothing will happen, but a well-looked-after home is far less vulnerable.

When you're not there, someone local is keeping watch.

Cobijo del Norte is a professional home supervision and care service for people who own a second home in Cantabria. We make regular visits to check the state of the house, catch any problem early and act when needed.

After every visit you receive a report with photos. If something isn't right, we tell you immediately and, if you wish, coordinate the fix with trusted professionals.

What does the monthly visit include?
We air the house, check inside, outside and entry points, look for damp and possible leaks, check the mailbox and send you a photo report.
What if you find a problem?
We tell you straight away with photos. Before doing anything we send you a quote; we do nothing without your approval.
Does it help prevent squatting?
An empty, neglected house is the most exposed. With regular visits the home looks looked-after, we check doors, windows and locks and, if we spot anything odd, we tell you the same day with photos so you can act. We are not a security service and can't guarantee nothing will happen, but we help make your home less vulnerable.
How much does it cost?
The basic monthly service costs €57 per month + VAT. Additional services are quoted according to what you need.
What do you do with the keys?
We keep a copy, fully secured, and only use it for the visits and tasks you ask of us.
Can I book just one service?
Yes. Gardening, cleaning, laundry, works and the other services can be ordered separately, by quote.
Which areas do you cover?
Cantabria. Tell us the town of your home and we'll confirm whether we reach it.
What if I only use the house in summer?
It's one of the most common cases: we look after the house the months it's empty and have it ready before you arrive.
